Ayu stared down at the flaming city of Gheyer; screams of anguish filled the air as citizens burned in the black fires of evil. His Wizards of Sacrydon stormed the streets setting everything in their sight ablaze with their dark magic. Right behind the Wizards were the Mage Soldiers of Sacrydon, a new form of warrior Ayu has designed two months prior to the attack. They wore black plate armour, with crimson carvings engrained into the black metal. Instead of wielding magic they carried long swords enchanted with magic and curses. Some swords were enchanted with a fire spell, setting every victim ablaze when stabbed. Others were enchanted with poison curses, which gave a slow painful death to the receiver of the swords deathly blow. These particular swords were cursed with a corrosive poison curse, which slowly seared away the skin of the stabbed or slashed victim. Ayu grinned at the complete destruction he had ensued on the once quiet and peaceful village. Soon all of the villagers would be dead and Juniper the leader of the Sigil Order would be captured and brought to him to be slaughtered. In all honesty Ayu could have just captured Juniper while she slept in the night, but storming the village and killing everyone was a lot more fun for him to watch. Ayu brought a breath of magic to his voice, making it able to be heard from miles away in the noise of battle “make sure no one gets out alive”  he said his voice booming across the land.

Ayu took a step back from the edge of the plateau and observed his surroundings, he was standing in a peaceful forest, a gust of wind blew through the leaves making them rustle amid the screams below. What a beautiful place Ayu thought as he looked around. The forest was totally peaceful, almost as if Mother Nature was unaware of the slaughter happening in the village below. “Master Ayu” a voice called behind him “we caught the girl”. Ayu whipped around, there stood two Wizards in front of two Mage Soldiers apparently seizing the arms of a girl, although Ayu could not see the girl they were holding from behind the Wizards. “Let me see this Juniper” he barked, the Wizards stepped aside revealing an ugly women who couldn’t be any older than twenty two. “Who the hell is this” Ayu roared. “It’s … its Juniper one of the Wizards stammered “she said so herself”.  “So you believed her?!” Ayu screamed. “I clearly told you that Juniper was a fifteen year old girl with bronze hair, this girl looks twenty and she has brown hair!” Ayu yelled grabbing the front of the Wizard’s cloak and shaking him violently. “But she told us her name was Juniper, she said it herself!” the Wizard protested. “You imbecile!” Ayu screamed throwing the Wizard to the ground. He walked over to the girl and pulled her hair “who in the hell are you?” he demanded. “I am Juniper” she stated calmly. “Don’t lie, you ugly wench, who are you?” he spat. “Juniper” she whispered offended. “Listen closely I’m going to give you one last chance to tell me who you are or I will give you the longest and most painful death I can think of” Ayu whispered harshly in her ear. He stared deeply into her eyes and brought up his magic. He saw deep into the chasms of her soul, and slowly seared her body from the inside out. She let out an ear piercing scream as she clutched her chest struggling to breathe. “What is your name!?” Ayu roared turning up the intensity of the magic burning her from the inside. She screamed in agony, tears streaming down her face “Brie” she choked out “my name is Brie”.

Ayu smirked and drew back the magic flames from her heart. “Ah good, now tell me where Juniper is and we can be on our way” Ayu said calmly. “I don’t know where she is, the last time I saw her was at breakfast” she whimpered still clutching her chest. “Oh really, and where do you think she has gone Ms. Brie” Ayu said hate dripping from his words. “I don’t know maybe to Marv’s house, it’s the house right in front of the bakery” she sobbed. Ayu quickly unsheathed his sword and decapitated the girl before she could say another word. Her head fell to the grass floor blanketing the forest, a look of stale fear still left in her lifeless eyes.  “Follow me, let’s go to this Marv’s house” Ayu said beckoning to the Wizards and Mage Soldiers as he stepped over Brie’s crumpled body.

Ayu strolled down the streets of Gheyer the two Wizards and the two Mage Soldiers following behind him. By this time everyone in the city was dead or dying from the poisoned blade wounds. Ayu looked around at all the burnt corpses that littered the streets, their skin blackened and charred. A few people lay on the side of the streets screaming and clutching the melting wounds left by the poison swords, they would be dead in a matter of minutes. Once the poison was in the wound there was no way to cure it except with the black blood of a Tergyl. Tergyl’s were viscous pig like creatures that could only be found in the Red Wood. Their skin was the texture of a pigs but hairless, with deep wrinkles and pockets of fat adorning the skins appearance. The hide was also much harder to penetrate with weapons then a regular pig. Their faces were horrid and vile. They bore the snout of a pig, and a mouth full of sharpened jagged teeth. Beside their snout lay two sharp tusks two feet long. Above their piggish nose is one large red eye, because of this they have very bad vision. A Tergyl can only see about two meters ahead of them, and their peripheral is almost non-existent. They have ears much like a pig but they are farther down on the sides of their heads, almost level with their large eye. Unlike a normal pig Tergyl’s are huge creatures, walking on four legs they are 3.5 feet tall and 2.5 feet wide. The Tergyl’s impaled their kill upon their large tusks and shook the victim violently until they finally bled out. The Tergyl would then feast upon the kill, with their razor teeth grinding through any hide. It was very rare to see more than two Tergyl’s together for they never travel in herds. If a person got Tergyl blood upon their skin it would burn, because of this most people think that their blood is poisonous. But Ayu was one of the lucky few who knew the truth. Tergyl blood was a miracle for cleansing poisoned wounds. Although it stung the wound as it seared away the poison you could count that the blood would expel all of the poison from the wound. This knowledge is a great advantage for Ayu’s army and he planned to keep it a secret.

Ayu took a few more steps and rounded a corner, as he rounded the corner he stopped to look around. Ahead of him stood what was once the bakery.  Flames licked the sides of the building, and spewed out of the windows. His vision shifted to the house across from the bakery, it was in total ruin. The roof was caved in, the structure charred and crumbling. There was no way they could tell if Juniper had been in the house.  Ayu held out his hands and concentrated hard into consuming the flames. Black and red magic flew from the flames and into Ayu’s palms. He could feel himself getting stronger as he absorbed the magic from the flames. Ayu was the only one powerful enough to absorb the magic from flames, but he could only absorb magic from the flames created by dark magic. If he were to try and absorb flames created by a member of the Sigil Order it would weaken him instead of making him stronger. If he absorbed too much of their magical flames it could weaken his powers so much he wouldn’t be able to cast spells for another five or so hours. Ayu smiled as the last bits of magic swirled into the depths of his soul. Instead of ablaze with flame the small house was now a smoldering pile of ruins. Ayu stepped into the smoking structure and beckoned to his followers to do the same. Ayu concentrated on the blackened beams that lay about the ruin. With his mind he was able to pick them up and throw them into the street. Once Ayu had cleared the ruin of obstructions the Wizards and Mage Soldiers began to search for bodies. “I found one!” a Wizard yelled as he levitated the body with his staff. He laid the body down in the middle of the street and began to search more. After twenty minutes of continued searching Ayu and his companions gave up, coming to the conclusion that there was no more bodies left to be found. They walked back onto the street. Ayu knelt down to inspect the body one of his Wizards found. He could tell right away that it was the charred remains of a man and not the teenage girl he was looking for. Angrily he kicked the corpses head with all his might. The head detached from the smoldering body and sailed through the air, landing four feet away in a back alley. “Do you know what this means!?” Ayu screamed to his four followers. “The Prince of Darkness will have our heads if we do not return with the stupid girl!” he roared turning to face the four. “What do you suppose we do? Hmm?” he said pushing the Wizard who presented Brie to him. “We could, um, go South East and take the long way back. Maybe she fled that way?” the Wizard stammered. Ayu sighed “I guess that would be our best bet at this point”. Bringing magic to his voice Ayu spoke “Wizards and Mage Soldiers of Sacrydon! Stop what you are doing and follow me, we are heading South East. We failed to find the girl here, so pray we find her there if you wish to keep your heads.”  As Ayu’s voice echoed through the town, all of the Wizards and Mage Soldiers stopped their pillaging and followed Ayu South West.
Ah look at what I completed. I think that my ADD was stopping me from completing any of The Glory because I just wasn't motivated to do so. Now with my medication I was able to find the motivation to write Chapter 11. I hope I continue to want to write more as the days progress. I still need to make the map because now I'm just confusing myself about where to go. Anyways I hope anyone reading this enjoyed the massacre of Gheyer, and the decapitation of Brie. Oh that reminds me, if you want a violence filter on this then just ask me! :)

All these characters and places are fictional and made by me. Although sometimes I name people after demon names I find on google.

Please ask my permission before using my story. Thanks! :D (Big Grin)

You have really nice ideas for magic and Ayu show no mercy, trully a villain, consummed by his desire for power :P

Maybe keeping the description of the tergyl a bit shorter will help with the fluidity? It distracted me a bit since it was in the middle of a carnage scene (That you wrote really well by the way :D)

Surprisingly, I was kindda sad for Brie, even if she wasn't the most sympathetic girl, she seemed to care about Jun.

If you want, I could draw you a map, I enjoy drawing them :D
